NEW SHOW OPENS AT PALACE TODAY Bill Includes Jazz Revue, Local Talent, Comedy Act and Novelty Number —Maxine Hamilton Starred.
The Palace announces the following new bill today:, On a bill that combines a jazz revue of song and dance, local talent, and comedy acts the novelty number the “Yip Yip Yaphankers,” is presented as the headliner at the Palace Theater the last half of this week. Ten men are the Yaphankers. They sing, dance, perform drills in dance tempo, and create no end of comedy situations. These men were formerly with the original “Yip Yip Yaphankers,” the soldier show offered at Camp Upton some time ago. “Jazz-O-Mania” Is the dance and song revue which has gained the reputation of being one of the fastest revues in vaudeville. Columbia City, Ind., arrested Wednesday by Prohibition Agent Frank Tukey, of Indianapolis, probably will be arraigned today before a United States Commissioner on a charge of violating the national prohibition act. Reese sold Tukey five gallons of intoxicating liquor, it was charged.
