Trowbridge Accepts Shubert Offer To Manage Their Two Cincinnati Theaters

' In theatrical circles thin is considered a promotion for Trowbridge its he was advanced when the Shuberts merged their interest s with 'the Valentine Company which English’s in Indianapolis •and the Hartman. Shubert and the Cox. Trowbridge will take George W. Brown, three years treasurer at the Murat, to act in a similar capacity nt the Shubert. Mrs. Trowbridge and the children will remain here until the Christmas holidays when they will join Mr. Trowbridge in Cincinnati. •I- -I- -ILOOKING OVER. NEW BILL AT THE PALACE In judging a musical company operating as a complete vaudeville unit, that is supplying the entire bill, I ame going to take several thing in consideration. In the first place, if the talent is wisely selected, a great deal can be given for the money. In organizing his company so he could supply the entire program with the exception of the picture, Toby Wilson has done just this thing—a good sized company with more than average talent as applied to the principals. Wilson has a hokum rube comedy way about him that does gM over to big laughs. His character woWn is good. His leading dancer and singer has the “looks” and a voice that puts over a song. His leading men have that “matinee look” about them which makes them interesting to most people. The quartet registers with ease. The chorus could he bf ' ter trained and I believe that this is 1 a progress. Most of them are good to look upon, and that is necessary these days. From a scenic standpoint, Wilson
