MURDER AGAIN THOUGHTCAUSE Probe Continues of Spinster’s Death. Hu United Preaa MATTOON, 111., Aug. 6.—From tnurder to suicide and then back to piurder again has swung the penduJum of opinion as to how Miss Cora 48 years old. spinster and former school teacher, met her death. Her body was found last Saturday in the cistern on the farm of her sister, Mrs. Anna Seaman. Her body, Thomas Seaman, her brother-in-law, now says was not found in a sitting position on the floor of the cistern. Instead, he declares, the body stood upright leaning against the center filter wall. Examination has shown Miss Stallman did not drown. Preliminary examination showed no trace of

DANGER SIGN PLACED Warning Erected at Washington Blvd. and Riviera Drive. A large danger sign has been placed at Washington Blvd. and Riviera Drive, by the Hoosier Motor Club to prevent .motorists from running into the canal running parallel with Riviera Drive. The sign has a white background, and bears the word "Danger” in big black letters. Immediately underneath the warning/the skull and cross bones appear. Washington Blvd. has only recently been opened as far north as the canal, but before the danger signal could be placed one plunged far enough down the canal bank to require the emergency service of the Hoosier Motor Club.

COURT CHANGE WORRIES DUNN Auditor Wants to Know Who Will Receive Fees. Reorganization of the local Judicial 'system by abolishing the city courts and justices of peace in favor of four municipal courts, effective Jan. 1, is worrying County Auditor Harry Dunn. Who will pay the SIOO,OOO expenses for 1926, and who will get the vast amount of fees and fines, city or county. That’s what bothers Dunn.
