TREAT YOURSELF LIKE YOUR CAR, EXPERT STATES “When Your Body ‘Knocks’, It’s Warning,” Says Chiropractor. Along about this time of year it’s a fortunate person -who doesn't suffer from that “run-down” feeling, that condition of nerve strain that makes one lose interest in work and wish that the year consisted of two working weeks and fifty weeks vacation, instead >f the other way around. That isn’t the way # Nature intended one to feel, however, and folks who are in that condition should not suffer from ill-health. Just because a man is not sick enough to he in bed is not an indication that he's perfectly well, tut according to E. M. Ryan, Fountain Square chiropractor, 1066% Virginia Ave., few persons give any attention to the condition of their health as long as they are able to ‘'keep going.” “A man wouldn't think of treating his car as he treats himself,” Ryan said. "The first time there’s a knock in the <engine of the car, the careful car owner rushes it into the nearest garage for an Investigation. But when t comes to his own engine—the delicate nervous system that controls every part of his body —he never thinks of heeding a knock of protest until it becomes a knockout. "It is really' a very simple matter to prevent disease before it progresses too far,” Ryan said. “All illness is caused by disorders of the ierves, and every nerve passes from some part of the body into the bony case we know as the spi.e. If there

is a section of this bony case displaced, it presses against a sensitive nerve, and the reaction brings about that tired, run-down, nervous condition that foretells loss of health. It takes only a short time to consult me and learn how such a condition can be remedied.” BUSINESS MEN TAKE LUNCHES AT DONAHUE’S Along with the dodo, the hired girl who didn’t mind doing the washing and other memories of a vanished age, there is the memory of the days when the man of the house , came home for dinher at noon and had to have a full meal, complete from hash to pie. But where, now, is the man who dsed to go home for lunch? The chances are that he’s lined up at the busy counter of one or the other of Donahue's Special Lunch establishments, devouring with relish a satisfying sandwich and drinking a cup of the coffee that is making the Donahue lunch famous all over town. In less than half the tiuiu it would take to reach home from downtown one may walk around the corner to the Donahue lunch at 21 E. Ohio St. or the convenient place at 15 N. Meridian St- and enjoy a meal that satisfies, at a saving of both time and money. Efficiency is business is the motto of the modern American, and efficiency means the elimination of waste, both of time and money. Eating at Donahue's saves both. BOGUE SCHOOL HOLDS PICNIC Putting aside their studies for a day, forty students of the Bogue Institute for Stammerers participated in the recent mid-summer picnic of the school at Riverside Park. The outing was one of a series of summer picnics arranged by’ Benjamin N. Bogue, head of the school. The picnic was held under the di-, rection of Mrs. S. G-. Myers and Miss Ruth Henby, members of the Bogue Institute staff. All the expenses of the outing were paid by the school and the pupil3 were all permitted to patronize all the amusement concessions in Riverside Amusement Park. After visiting the amusement park foot races were staged and other outdoor games were supervised by Mrs. Myers and Miss Henby. A picnic supper was spread for the outing painty, having been prepared by Mrs. iE. Lauler, in charge of the dining idepartment of the Bogue School. \ v

Any meal would taste god after a country’ drive, but the food served at the Five Points Pigeon Farm would taste good at any time.
