SCOTT’S CELL IS LABORATORY i Slayer Examined by Loeb Case Alienists. Bu United Press CHICAGO. July 29. — I Three alienists are charting the jail life of Russell Scott, former millionaire. If they can convince a jury that Scott is insane, the prisoner, who on two occasions escaped hanging by elev-enth-hour reprieves will go to an insane asylum instead of the gallows. Scott’s cell today was a scientific laboratory, filled with numerous instruments Dr. H. S. .Hulburt, who helped the defense in the LeopoldLoeb murder case; Dr. Orlahdo Scott and Dr. Clarence A. July 29.—When the Lutherans of Sweden are hosts to the Universal Christian Conference on Life and Work, at Stockholm. Aug. 19 to 30, the United Lutheran Church in will be represented by four official delegates and four unofficial observers, according to announcement from the office of the secretary of the church. This is the first Conference of Life and Work to which American Lutherans have been officially delegated. The delegates chosen by. the executive board are: Dr. E. P. Pfatteicher, Reading, Pa.; J. B. Franke, Ft. Wayne, Ind.; Dr. Jacob A. Clutz, Lutheran Theological Seminary, Gettysburg, Pa., and Dr. M. G. G. Scherer, secretary of the United Lutheran Church. All four will sail from New York Aug. 4, and will be accompanied by E. E. Fischer
