Because of deficiency In the city engineer’s budget tor pay of Inspectors, all improvements have been halted by the board of works. DEAR MR. FIXIT: I am writing to ask if you can do anything to expedite the completion of the alley between Capitol and Grace land Aves. and Forty-First and Forty-Second Sts.? This was started about four weeks ago, but after a few days’ work the workmen left and nothing has been done since. It Is impossible to use garages on the alle yand I am getting very tired of leaving my car parked in the street and of seeing garbage cans etc., decorating the sidewalk in front of the house.
