FOUR HURT IN UTR HUSKS Two Women Struck While in Safety Zone. Clarence Richardson, 28, of 2858 N. Talbott Ave., was slated on chjirges of driving while intoxicated, assault and battery, and driving through a safety zone. Police say his auto struck two women at Massachusetts Ave. and Alabama St., while they were waiting to board a car. Miss Rose Pritchard, 504 E. FortyEighth St., was hurt about the back, and head. She was taken home. Mrs. Marnes Barnes, 45, colored, 1328 Columbia Ave., was taken to the City Hospital unconscious. An auto driven by Ray Downing, 41, of 901 N. New Jersey St., struck and seriously injured Miss Esther Wier, 17, of 4360 N. Keystone Ave., and Denny Lee, 23, of Forty-Fourth St., and Keystone Ave., near Allisonville Rd. and Keystone Ave. Wednesday night. Both were taken to the City Hospital. Downing was slated.
