A. resident of the south side fired three shots in one volley at Mr. Fixit today, necessitating: considerable scurrying about the corridors of the city hall building. -DEAR MR. FIXIT: Asa taxpayer and a south side business man for years would like to ask your cooperation on the three following dangerous conditions: First—Allen Ave., from Southern to Troy, is absolutefiy impassable. No possible chance for the fire department to make a quick run anywhere in Park Crest. Second—Boyd Ave., from Southern to Comer very • dangerous. Third —Bradbury and Draper at northeast corner, an electric light pole about three or four feet from the curb In the pavement. This is an improved street and would like for you to advise why this pole was ever left standing. I am a south side real estate man. HEZ EVERROAD. First—Martin J. Hyland, street commissioner, has inspected this location and decided that the contractors for the new sewer are responsible for repairing this darnage. He has taken up the matter with the board of works which will order the contractor to place the street in good'condition. * Second-—Hyland also has asked the board to grade down Boyd ‘ Ave. His opinion, however, is that the abutting property owners must assume burden of costs. ' Third—Homer Foxworthy, chief inspector of the city engineer's office, will investigate the' report of the electric light pole. DEAR MR.
