PURDUE OPENS CAMP SATURDAY Civil Engineers to Work Near Spencer. 81/ United Prefix JLAFAYETTE, Ind., June s.—The annual civil engineering camp of thft school of civil engineering at Perdue University will open Saturday at McCormick's Creek State Park, three miles southeast of Spencer, with slightly over 150 frieshmen enrolled. The camp is required between the freshmen and sophomore years for all civil engineers, and Is intended to provide practical field work in connection with the surveying course. The camp is preceded and followed by one semester of surveying study at Purdue. The students are housed in tents w£th board floors. Cooking facilities, miss and drawing rooms are located in’ frame houses,, The camp is run at', an actual cost to the students.
