June 3.—New and important evidence concerning the death of Billy McClintock, “millionaire orphan," has been uncovered by State’s Attorney Robert E. Crowe and his aides, the United Press learned today. William A. Shepherd, former Indianapolis man, is on trial charged with the boy’s murder. Physicians who attended Billy before he succumbed to typhoid fever furnished Crowe with the new evidence. Naither Crowe or the physicians would divulge the na ture of the Information. By United Press GOSHEN, Ind., June 3.—The Elkhart County grand jury met today to Investigate the accident at the dirt track auto races at Elkhart Decoration Day which cost the lives of three spectators. One other spectator injured in the accident will probably die. One of the drivers lost control of his car when two other* crowded him too closely, according to witnesses. The little bell of the Gnome is set with rubies and other sem-precious 6tones. Out es the ruins of an old temple in Japan, Mrs. Burdette watched a large bell dug, and she has added it to her collection. Not all these hells were chosen for their historical value. One at least, was chosen for Its melody. This one is a sheep bell from the plains of Bethlehem. Mrs. Burdette numbers 640 bells in her collection, about which sho has begun a book, "The Romance of a Bell Gatherer.’’ Mrs. Burdette has been fifty-three years In organization work, and is the oldest member of the Federation in point of service.
