CROSSING ELIMINATION Death Intersection Work Progresses Well, Says Official. The “death crossing” at New Carlisle. Ind.. is being eliminated, according to R. R. Smith of South Bend, general manager of the Chicago, South Bend & Northern Indiana electric line, who visited Indianapolis. Part of this work will be completed by December, Smith said. Efforts to eliminate the crossing, which has four New York Central tracks, one C., S. B. & N. I. and one South Shore electric line track, were started in 1916. State Rd.
