BOY BICYCLIST HURT BY AUTO Girl Also Injured in Another Accident. Jake Morris, 9, of 1030 S. Capitol Aye., was injured about the hip and abdomen, and sent to the city hospital, by police who say he was struck by a truck owned by the Olds Chemical and Soap Company, 525 W. McCarty St., at Chadwick and McCarty Sts., Thursday night. The driver, Ary Gentry, 525 W. Norwood St., was slated. Witnesses said the boy was riding his bicycle in a circle in the street. Miss Mary Sharp, 19, of 118 N. State Ave., is said by police to have alighted from an auto across from her home, and ran back of it in the path of an auto driven by John Coyle, 19, of 1043 S. East St. He was silted. She was injured. Her left hip was fractured. She was taken to the city hospital. Elmer Grose, -South Viana, Ind., was Injured about the body when a horse he was riding at Emerson Ave., shied at an auto and backed into the path of a Washington Street car. The motorman, R. G. Jarrett, 1108 Ya Shelby St., was slated. CANDIDATES ARE GUESTS Reception Held for Duvall and Boyce at Club. John L. Duvall, Republican nominee for mayor; William A. Boyce Jr., nominee for city clerk, and the six Republican nominees for city councilmep were honor guests Thursday night of the Twelfth Ward Republican Club. The reception was held at 916 S. Meridian St. Frank Hawkins, Twelfth ward chairman, presided. M’s. Gladys Paul was vice chairman ol' the meeting. ORGANIST ON THE AIR Circle Theater to Broadcast Again Tonight. The third of the Circle Theater Friday night request organ concerts will be broadcast tonight at 11 o’clock over the Merchants Heat and Light Cos. station WFBM. Miss Dessa Byrd, the organist, has received hundreds of wires and cards from various points in Indiana and the central West and several from Texas, Canada and the Eastern States requesting favorite numbers and congratulating her o nthe programs.
