UNION INDORSES SHANK’S STAND V Will Back Mayor in Elevation * Controversy. WILBUR TO VISIT CITY Secretary of Navy Will Inspect Summer Camp Here. Curtis D. Wilbur, secretary of the navy, will inspect the summer naval camp at Riverside Park this summer. Camp Shank will open June 15. Capacity of the third annual camp .will be 200. Lieut. P. F. Knachel, of Ninth regiment, will be in command and Ensign Paul M. Akin executive secretary. MISSING GIRL SOUGHT Relieved Kidnaped by Man Who Wounded Aunt. ft II I'nftrd J’re* WINTHROP, Maine. May 21.—Authorities and hundreds of citizen volunteers early today had found no trace of Miss Aida Hayward, believed to have been kidnaped yesterday. The supposed kidnaping followed the wounding of Miss Hayward’s aunt, Mrs. Emma M. Towns, who was shot by an unknown man at the cottage at Lake Maranacook, where the two were living. The cottage was burned down.
