POUND STERLING VIRTUALLY PAR British Unit Climbs to PostP War Record. By United Press LONDON, May 20.—Touching new post-war heights, the pound Sterling today noted for cable transfers M-86 1-16 and checks, $4.86%. Now at virtual parity, the pound. It is predicted, will continue its strength, especially as much foreign money will oxime into help the exchaneg situation with the opening of the American tourist advent. NEW YORK, May 20 —The pound sterling reached anew record high' since 1014, at the opening of the foreign exchange market today, when it was quoted at $4.86%. Cables were $4.85%, or within a small fraction of parity. REUNION PLANNED Plans for the annual Parke County reunion June 28 in Garfield Park, were made at a recent meeting of a committee of former Parke County residents. W. A.
