STATE PARDON BOARD HAS 73 t OASES IN MAT Ten Marion County Persons in List of New Petitions Filed. Os seventy-three new eases filed with the State board of pardons for consideration at the May term, ten are In behalf of Marlon county persons seeking parole or reduction of sentence. All the sentences were imposed in the Marion County Criminal Court. Local cases on file are as follows: John C. McCall, sentenced Oct. 27, 1924, to a one to fourteen year term in the Indiana State Frison for receiving stolen goods. Harry B. Langsdale, sentenced Feb. 27, 1925, to a two to fourteenyear term in the Indiana State Prison for entering a house. Vehicle Taking Noble Claycomb, sentenced May 28, 1921 to ten to twenty-one years and six months to five years in Indiana State Reformatory for robbery and vehicle taking. Transfererd to Indiana State Prison. Fred G. Abbott, sentenced June 13, 1924, one to eight years in Indiana State Reformatory for petit larceny. Clinton Kemp, alias H. S. Cross, sentenced October, 1912, to one to years in Indiana State pi ison ■or petit larceny. Sentenced for Life Frank Randalls, sentenced Nov. 8, 1919, to like term in Indiana State prison for rape. James J. Noonan, sentenced Oct. 13, 1923, to one to fourteen years in Indiana State prison for conspiracy to commit a felony. William Carson, sentenced March 23, 1923, to sixty days in Indiana State farm and fined S2OO for liquor law violation. George P. Lang, sentenced June 6, 1922, to ten to twenty-one years in Indiana State reformatory for robbery. Transferred to Indiana State prison. Joseph Lee, sentenced Nov. 28, 1924, to two to fourteen years in Indiana State reformatory for assault and battery to rob. Cases of Hobart Baker, Raymond Birge and Fleming Wright, Marlon County persons, were among the list of twelve cases re-opened. B. K. Bruce, a negro, served in the United States Senate from 1875 to 1881 as a Senator from Missis slppi.

suggested they stop for refreshments. They went into a case, but the guide kept so close to Perry that he could not warn an attendant of his plight. Perry, to obtain delay, began to quarrel violently with the attendant, hoping to attract an officer. In a short time a messenger was sent from the case for an officer and returned with one. Escaped Murderer The policeman at once pounced on the supposed guide and arrested him,, Ignoring the attendant and Perry. It then developed that the guide was a criminal, long sought by police, and wanted for murdering a young French artist, whom he had lured to the house to which he was trying to take Perry.
