INDIANS' WOES ATTRIBUTED TO NO SANITATION Plumber Says City Health Depends on Good Facilities. “The evil spirit that visited the camps of the Indians when they re niained encamped too long In any I one spot wasn't really an evil spirit at all; it was the pestilence and disease that result whenever many people live together without sanitary plumbing equipment to carry away refuse from their dwelling place,” O. J. Sellmeyer, 3313 E. Tenth St., says in explaining the necessity of good plumbing in the home. “If Indianapolis was without san itary plumbing facilities, it would be, within thirty days, a veritable pest hole," Sellmeyer declared. Aids Community "Plumbing, such as we install, is, I believe, a real benefit to the community, for it not only preserves the health of the citizens and makes it possible for them to live In comfort. : but It even adds to the good looks of the women of today. "That’s a fact; the modern woman is younger looking, better looking and has better health than the women of formetr generations had. and a large part of this is due to sanitary plumbing in her home. With such plumbing as is sold in our shop her work is much lighter, for modern plumbing is easy to keep clean." Repair Service In addition to installing plumbing in the home, Sellmeyer maintains a high grade repair service for the

PRINTING SHOP MACHINES ARE VASER SPECIAL Company Moves, Repairs and Rebuilds Presses. When the first Indianapolis newspaper wap issued from the printshop of Gregg & Maguire, more than one hundred years ago. the editors found it necessary to apologize for the delay in publication, because "ot the impossibility of getting our materials conveyed from the Ohio River." Moving was indeed a. precarious business for the printshop and newspaper establishment in those days. One pioneer paper was almost disrupted by having the cases of type fall off the wagon as it was crossing a stream. Eliminated Now Those troubles have' been eliminated for the modern newspaper and printing establishment, however, for the Vaser Machine Company. 420 3. Pennsylvania St„ specializes in moving, repairing and rebuilding of printng presses, and book binding machinery. Printing and bookbinding firms throughout Indiana and Kentucky depend upon this company for careful moving and repair work on their machinery. Because many presses must be taken apart for moving and then carefully rebuilt, it requires a specialist in this work to handle it successfully. Good Combination Repairs are frequently necessary, and these mav best be made when the press is being moved from one location to another, so that the Vaser Machine Company offers a valuable combination of services to newspapers and printers. An added feature of the work of interest to Indiana firms is their excellent service in sharpening linotype knives. Formerly it has been thought necessary to send this work to Chicago, but with the service of the Vaser Machine Company it may be done just as well and much more promptly in Indianapolis.
