DAUGHTER MAY FOLLOW HAYNES Expected to Take Up Work Father Left Off. 811 United, Press ' KOKOMO, Ind., April 25.—A woman may inherit the mantle of Elwood Haynes, Inventor of the “horseless carriage,’’ and experimental chemist. This was the general belief here today. The woman is Mrs. Glenn Hillis, daughter of the late Mr. Haynes, a college woman and his companion in many of his experiments. When a small girl she puttered around his laboratory, and during her college career specialized in applied science. Since her marriage she has been a “home girl,” but it is well known she was the confidant of the famous scientist in all his work. Friends of the family believe Mrs.
