REFERENDUM 111 WISCONSIN NEAR fctate May Vote on Amendment of Volstead Act. Bu United Preti MADISON, Wia., April 23.—A Ptate-wide referendum on the question of amending the Volstead law to legalize the sale and manufacture of 2.75 wine and beer will coine up at the next election if a resolution adopted in the Senate last night, obtains passage in the lower house. Indications are the resolution will be approved when it comes up in the assembly, probably next week. The referendum measure, proposed by Senator Pclakowsky, Milwaukee socialist, was in the form of an amendment to the Gettelman Joint resolution to memoralize Congress to modify the Volstead act in favor of light wines and beer. It was adopted 16 to 14. FOREIGNERS ARE INVITED All foreigners who are naturalized Friday before Judge James A.
