GOD FELLOWS TO OBSERVE ANNIVERSARY Local Ledges Will Hold Celebration of 106th Birthday. Odd Fellows and F.ebekahs of Indianapolis and Marion County will hold fitting observance of the 106th anniversary of the organization the week of April 20 to 26. Twenty-seven I. 0. O. F. lodges and twenty-four units of the Rebekahs, representing total membership of almost twenty thousand persons, are to hold individual meetings during the week, culminating in a mass meeting at 2 p. m. April 26, in the Grand Lodge hall auditorium in the Knights of Pythias building. There are eighteen lodges in Indianapolis and nine in the county. 2,000 to Attend Two thousand people are expected to attend the final celebration, which will be preceded in the morning by individual attendance of lodges at various Indianapolis churches. State Appellate Court, will speak in behalf of subordinate lodges of the county. Daughters of Rebekah are to be represented by an address by Mrs. Annie La Follette, past president of the Rebekah Assembly if Indiana. Mrs. Florence McQuiddy, also a past president of the State organization, will sing. Other music will be provided by the forty-two-piece I. O. O. F. Band. Indianapolis observance will be part of world-wide celebration by members of the order. Parades of uniformed ranks, speech making, degree team work, open meetings for friends of members and similar events will feature the week's program in many Indiana cities. Festival Week During the festival week State officers of the organization will deliver addresses in all parts of Hoosierdom. Present officers of Grand Lodge are: F. L. Behymer, grand master; Joseph G. Long deputy grand master, H. F. Hardin, grand warden, and George P. Bornswasser, grand secretary. While many of the SS.OOO' Hoosier Odd Fellows have contributed individually through the Red Cross for relief of tornado victims, yet the Grand Lodge has raised SIO,OOO to care for the sufferers until permanent relief is afforded. From the five friends who founded the Independent Order of Odd Fellows 106 years ago in Baltimore, the organization has gro-wn to membership of 1,500,000 scattered through leading countries of the world.
