METHODISTS TO MEETTUESDAT Arrangements Completed for Annual Conference. Bu Time* Special IANDERSON, Ind., April 10.—Arrangements are being completed here for entertainment of 600 ministers and their families and for daily delegation of from $1,500 to 2,000 visitors, expected here for the eighty-second annual conference of the North Indiana Methodist Episcopal Church, which opens April 14 for a week’s session. The meeting will begin with appearance of ministerial candidates before the conference board of examiners at 2 p. m. Teusday, and the session will be formally opened the next morning, following communion services. Three sessions will be held daily, the conference business being transacted in the morning, with the afternoon and evening meetings reserved for lectures, reports and anniversary meetings of church organzations. Charles H, Neff of Anderson will make the opening address and a response will be made by Bishop Frederick D. Leete of Indianapolis, who will preside at all meetings on the program. Dr. Li. H. Murlln, new president of De Pauw University, and Dr. George R. Stuart of Alabama are among prominent speakers. Assignments will be made by Bishop Leete April 21.

DEACON SELLS WIFE, CHARGE Man on Trial for Murder of Alleged Rival. Bu Time* Special TULSA, Okla., April 10.—Eugene Purdy, young Tulsa church deacon on trial for the killing of E. S. Hutchison, Tulsa oil man, sold his wife Helen to Huchison for $50,000, according to a contract introduced as evidence, Wednesday. Huchison was shot to death after he was alleged to have stolen Mrs. Purdy’s affections. Purdy has been on trial for a week, and has consistently denied the existence of a "wife sale” contract.
