Bu Time* Xprcial L.A PORTE, Ind., April Two colored bandits who held up three white men and collected §36.36 were sentenced to six months\ on the penal farm and fined $1 each. Their first victim yielded §36, the second 36 cents and the third nothing. Two police officers took charge of them following the profitless attempt. The bandits gave their names as Robert Jackson of South Bend, Ind., and Robert Bell of Alabama. CLEAN-UP IS ORDERED Fire Chief Points Out Hazard of Weed and Grass Fires. Persons whose premises are littered with weeds and grass will have to "clean up" or suffer arrest, follownig a recent order by the board of public safety, Fire Chief John J. O’Brien pointed out to the board the hazard of littered premises. According to O’Brien the flrse department has had many calls recently to small weed and grass fires, and he fears some serious blaze might result unless the clean-up is made compulsory.
