Culver, former electrical engineer for Fairbanks-Morse Company, at the regular meeting of the Broadcast listeners’ Association at Saverin roof garden at 8 p. m- "Wednesday. Culver Is a former instructor in ■he electrical department of Massachusetts Institute of Technology. He will demonstrate several kinds of loops and aerials in operation, and will demonstrate receivers of the “neutrodyne” and “super-het” type. Kinds of interference will be discussed. The meeting is open to every one. CHICAGO FINDS SIN SYNDICATE Elaborate Headquarters for Rum Trade Raided. Hi/ United Preaa CHICAGO, April 7.—Chicago police today turned over to Federal prohibition authorities the books and accounts of one of Chicago’s largest and most efficient Industries—the distribution of booze and the man agement of disorderly resorts. Police raided s he sumptuously furnished offices of the “Sin Syndicate’ and found there In neatly audited ledgers, filing cabinets, memorandum and other devices of modern bookkeeping many accounts of law viola tion. Included In the information gathered from the data on the books were the names of hundreds of Ikvealthy liquor customers, saloon with running accounts, the names of disorderly houses and their Inmates, as well as a list of police officers, Government dry officials bribed, and carload booze deliveries.
