Its addition to a week in Atlantic City, The Indianapolis Times will award a bicycle and a gold medal to the city champion. Each year the national tourney sponsored by Scripps-Howard newspapers is held at Atlantic City to award the national crown. The marble fans stay at the beet hotels and are furnished with all sorts of entertainment. A radio set and a silver medal will be awarded to the runner-up in the final. Neighborhood champs will receive bronze awards. Kennard Ong, 2361 Park Ave., last year’s city champ, who made the trip to Atlantic City In 1924, won the middlewestern honors. MURDER CASE RECALLED Edward Stewart, now in jail, was indicted today by the Marion county grand jury on charge of murdering Ralph Cunningham of Advance, Ind., Feb. 12, 1925. Stawart is alleged to have struck Cunningham with a heavy wrecking bar in a robbery. Marcellie Cole, arrested with Stewart, is charged wit hbeing an accessory before the fact. The two also were indicted on charges of auto banditry and robbery. They are alleged to have taken .$75 from Cunningham. WEEKS SUFFERS SLIGHT STROKE Secretary of War Able to Set Up and Read. Bu X r nitfd Prrn WASHINGTON, April 3.—Secretary of War Weeks suffered a faint stroke of Cerebral Thrombosis which usually causes paralysis, or Wednesday morning, but is new l almost completely recovered, it was disclosed In a physician’s statement Issued today. Weeks today was sitting up read-, ing the. newspapers, it was said at the War Department. It was recalled, however, that it was a cerebral thrombosis which completely paralyzed the left side of Col. Charles R. Forbes, former director of the Veterans’ Bureau, last week and left him in a serious condition.
