Doubt regarding constitutionality of the 1925 act authorizing purchase l>y the State of the Indiana Dental College has arisen In the minds of persons studying '.*> measure. The bill, wh'ch appropriates i40,000 to boy the school, prescribes continuation of the present tuition i’ees. Those * hallenging constitutionality of the bill have referred to a provision In the State constitution prohibits the State from charging my tuition of students attending higher educational institutions. It is said that if the measm <• wre declared unconstitutional in the ■ ourts it would be necessary to suspend tuition fees now at ’.he two State universities. Representative J. Gler.n Karris of Gary was author of the measure, which was bitterly contested in both houses of the Legislature when it was under consideration.
