PERFECT CONTACT VERY IMPORTANT Flux Should Be Kept Off Insulating Segments. When soldering connecting wires to the terminals of jacks for making connections to the telephones, it is important to keep soldering fix from running down onto the insulating segments which separate the different spring contacts. If the flux runs down into the insulating segments, it causes leakage, and it is to this fact that many experimenters owe the trouble they have with their homemade sets. Use only enough flux for the solder to take hold. A thin film is enough. Be sure that the contacts make and break properly when the wiring of the set is completed. Sometimes they get bent out of position slightly and do not touch properly.
Our prices are for complete sets, installed, with two weeks * free service. / 8 MONTHS. to PAY
