HOLLAND STUDIO LEAVES OLD FOR BRAND EW HOME Razing of Building at Illinois and Market Necessitates Change, When the old building at the southeast corner of Illinois and Market St. was razed to make room for anew skyscraper, It removed not only a building landmark but a business landmark from Illinois St.—the Holland Studio. For sixteen years Indianapolis girls—and men, too, of course—who wanted to look their best In a photograph—had been going to E. 8. Mack, owner of the studio, to have their pictures made. And many of them are wondering where the Holland Studio has moved. They will find It In an attractive 1W” home at 216 Kresge Bldg., Just n*_ * door to the Kresge store, on th 9 orner of Washington and Pennsylvvila Sts. It’s throe blocks away from the old location, and in a newer and better home. “And as soon as our old customers find out our new location, I know they'll be In to have more pictures trade,” Mack said, “for we have had unusual success in photographing girls and young women. We have a woman with us who is an expert at posing girls attractively, so that all their best features show and all the unattractive ones —ls they happen to have any—are minimized. We get some lovely effects, too, by using spot lighting, such as you see ysed In the moving picture studios. Brunettes are easier to photograph than blondes, but when a blond with fluffy hair comes in on which we can throw high lights In photographing It, the result is charming enough to please any girl.” “And believe me,” the photographer added, "young girls know what they want In the way of pictures and won’t come to any studio that doesn’t make them look as pretty as they feel that they should

Bishop, manager of the Capitol Boan Company, 141*4 Washington St., said in explaining the service offered by industrial loan companies such as the Capitol. “That is good advice as far as It goes, but there are places where it Won’t work. For instance, what Is a man going to do if hb is buying a home, paying for furniture or spending all he earns each week just supporting a family—as many do—if he loses his job, is taken sick or has to meet some unexpected obligation that calls for an outlay of more cash than he has been able to accumulate? A business firm, in times of emergency, borrows money from a bank, hut the man who has nothing to give as security except his household goods cannot do this. There are just two ways for him to tide over such an emergency. The first Is to go to friends or relatives and borrow money from them, but, in most cases, when he does this he incurs an obligation that is never entirely discharged, even when the debt Is paid. “The second method Is to borrow money as any man borrows money to run his business, only where the business man can go to the bank, the man who needs funds for his personal use can go to the loan company. We take, as security, a mortgage on his household goods, just aa a bank takes a man’s note, and advahee him the money to* meet the emergency that has come up. He pays his bills, gets on his feet again and repays us In small monthly payments with Interest of 3*4 per cent a month figured on the unpaid balance of the debt. Such a method of payment does not work a hardship on the borrower and frequently saves him from making a real sacrifice In order to obtain the cash he needs.” CHIROPODIST Registered Registered Foot Specialist For Festered Corns; Inflamed Painful Bunions; Affected, Inflamed, Ingrown Toenails.
