John Metzger, business manager of the Dramatic Club’s play, “The Whole Town Is Talking," to be given March 26, announces S2O will be given the organization selling the most tickets. Victor C. Twltty, student budget committee chairman, estimates t.iere has been over SI,BOO pledged. Committee members are: Twltty, Constance Forsyth, vice chairman; Ruth Bates, treasurer; Shaller Bass, secretary; Clarence Stembel, Daisy Shultz, and R .y 6. Friesner, faculty adviser anc v'/illiam H. Rowlands. Dean J. W. Putnam spoke at the annual Commerce Club banquet at the Indianapolis Athletic Club. Business men present were: R. J. Axtell, J. C. Crlm, Fred Croestreet, Rex Boyd, Walter Teer, Earl Beek, and Ralph Phelps. Lewis Wilson, a student, talked on “The Ideal Relation Between Students and Business.” At the Dramatic Club meeting at the Kappa Kappa Gamma house the play, “Thursday Evening," was presented by Turpin Davis, Marianna Kennedy, Frances Peters and Dorothy Candall. Helen Pascoe and Louise Padou gave readings. Ocle Higgins Sang and Mldred Glick gave piano selections. A sophomore tea was given at the college residence under direction of the Woman's League. Mildred Stilz and Doris Smith were in charge. Alice Young sang, accompanied by Florence Lesher. Viol’n, solo was rendered by Martha Clapp, accompanied by Mary Martha Lewis. Frances Welker danced an Irish jig. V’-glnla Curtis is general chairman of the Woman’s League cotillion, to be given Friday. Miss Curtis will be assisted by Sarah Frances Downs, Helen Erber, Doris Smith and Esther Renfrew. Jeanne Bouslogg will have charge of the dance. Thomas F. Smith, Drift editor, has been elected president of the Fourth Estate Club, which is petitioning Sigma Delta Chi, national Journalistic fraternity. Horacfe Storer was named vice president and Ray Ridge, secretary-treasurer. Among students active in the Indianapolis Order of T>e Molay- are George Wilson, master councilor; Past Master Councilors Adrian Pierce, Robert Hutohinson, Marshal Defoe and Raymond Robinson. Others who hold office are Carl Turpin, Richard Brommert, James Forsyth, Walter Houck and Douglas Dale. 1 Butler chapter of the Delta Tau Delta fraternity won the attendaance trophy for the second time at

the northern division conference of the fraternity at Cleveland, Ohio. The Butler chapter had the largest attendance. Sigma Delta Mothers' Club entertained the active chapter with a dinner. Delta Zeta Mothers’ Club held a luncheon following a regular business meeting at the chapter house. Mrs. Chic Jackson spoke on "Spring Housecleaning” at the Mothers’ Club meeting of the Pi Beta Phi at the chapter house. Mrs. Agnes Wright Spring, national editor of the Arrow; Mrs. John Spiegel and Prof. Evelyn Butler were honor guests. O. K. McKlttrick, freshman cla. president, announces April 17 as the date for the class dance at the new Liberty Hall. Entire student body is invited. Proceeds will go to the Butler building fund. Committees in charge are: Advertising, Pete McConnell, Joseph Kennedy, and Catherine Bosley; decorating, Frances Peters, Helen Strawmeyer, John Mendenhall, Virginia Small, Adrian Pierce and Donald Gerheart; financial, James Carvln, Mary Elizabeth Swain, and Harvey Garrett. Betty Lee, Harold, Magee, Norman Cook, Willis Jackman, and Harold Meek are on the general committee. Miss L. M. Schulmeyer, girl’s gymnasium teacher, announces the class basketball teams selected from the Inter-sorority League as follows: The first year squad consists of Augusta Bowerman, Pollie DuVal, Margaret Elrod, Miriam Faye, Evelyn Forsythe, Clara Foxworthy, Katharine Gilbert, Margaret Hunt, Ellen McLean, Mary Caroline Means.
