™™es Edwin W. Spencer, Former Attorney Here, Dead, Following Masonic funeral services in New York today, body of Eawln W. Spencer, 44, former Indianapolis attorney, was to be cremated. Mr. Bpencer died Tuesday. He was the son of W. W. Spencer, 818 B. Walnut St., attorney. Edwin W. Spencer was a graduate of Manual Training High, School, Metropolitan School of Music and Indiana Law School. After twelve yeart. during which he practices law with his father, Mr. Spencer went to Florida for his health. He returned to Indianapolis four years later, but after several ytars moved to New York. Surviving are the widow and two sons, of New York; the father; four brothers, Arnold F., Horace J. and Herbert M. Spencer of Indianapolis and Albert I. Spencer of Jacksonville, Fla., and one sister, Mrs. Sarah S. Summers, Indianapolis.

USE OF RADIO URGED Union Broadcasting Station Proposed by Printer President. Trade unions must give attention to the possibilities of radio broadcasting if they are not to lose pace with the times, according to James M. Lynch, president of the International Typographical Union, with headquarters here. Lynch suggested a broadcasting station should be established and maintained by 'either the American Federation of Labor or a cooperating group of large unions. ‘•Opponents of unionism are losing no time about utilizing this tremendous new medium for propaganda spread,” said Lynch. Inestigation of the office of Governor Ed Trapp of Oklahoma has been asked in a petition filed with the State Legislature. Trapp is alleged to have diverted funds for a highway ordered by Federal engineers. He succeeded Jack Walton when the latter was ousted from office.

OHIO MAN ARRESTED Detectives Investigate Pant Record of Auton Conley. Auton Conley, 40, of 1J25 N. Pennsylvania St., was held today under high bond for investigation. Patrolmen Barge and Miller said he told them he came here from Tampa, Fla. Officers said letters in his pockets from his father, William Conley, of Addyston. Ohio, told him to com? home, as officers there would not arrest him, but added It would be necessary to return the jewelry. Conley is said to have admitted he was in the Jewelry business in Tampa and that he sent $25,000 worth of the Jewelry to his father. LAWSUIT IS COMBAT So Amishman Dismisses Action In Road Fight. Murray Annan, clerk in the lllingsworth Drug Store, 602 N. Illinois St., told police at 10 p. m. a man came in, thrust a revolver at him and took $125 from the cash register. A colored bandit held up the National Oil and Refining Company station at Sheffield Ave., and W. Washington St. Carl Wilson, 23, of 410 N. Alton St., attendant said the bandit took between $25 and S3O from the cash register and then asked where the rest was. "Thats all” Wilson said, according to police “Your a liar,” retorted the man and knocked W'ilson down. The bandit fled in an auto. Another man was in the car Wilson said.
