Men to Give Minstrel Show The Men’s Bible Class of the Downey Ave. Christian Church on Friday night will present their annual minstrel show at the Irvington School, No. 67. t The proceeds will go .to the building fund of the church. It is the plan to build a $200,000 structure in the next few years. Morris Edwards is teacher of the Bible class, Floyd J. Trusty is president, Edward Phillips is vice president and Arthur Hupp is secretary. Among those who Will take part in the minstrel will be Wing Phillips, Charles K. Harris, Carlos Jones, Frank Huston, Walter Underwood. Victor Dannacher, Carl Wilson, Ruby Busher, James G. Thomas Real Four Quartet and others. Frank Huston will be Interlocutor. Geraldine Trotter will be at the Piano and Krauss Cardinals will conduct the orchestra. -I- I- I* NEW BILL OPENS AT PALACE TODAY With a program of "Dance and Syncopation,” the Capms” hoys and their Fashionettes fll’ the headline position at the Palace theater the last half of this week, opening today. The Fashionettes are six women who compose an orchestra rendering bits of musical entertainment as well as furnishing the music for the jazz, eccentric and acrobatic steps of the Capmans. \ Fred Babb, Lois Syrell and Iris Lorraine are offering “A Medley of Steps,” which contains a carefully arranged assortment of dances. "The Back Road” is used for comedy purposes by Jerry Mack and his company of comedians. The act is a character comedy playlet. Charle Wilkins, known for his burfeique dancing, appears with Addle Willcins in “Ignoty's Tango Lesson,” in which a dancing teacher tries to explain to an impossible pupil the art of the Argentine Tango. “Taxi,” a little dog, is the star in the act. “True Pals,” performing many difficult feats. If Governor Jackson signs the Clark House bill, Julietta, Marion County Hospital for the Insane, soon will be a farm colony of the Central Indiana State Hospital for the Insane. The Senate passed the bill authorizing the State to accept the Institution, worth a million dollars, as a gift, Wednesday afternoon, 33 to 4, Marion County is the only one in the State Required to take care of its own insane asylum, although it pays its proportionate share of State taxes.
