AUTO AND MONEY TAKEN IN HOLD-OP to Mike Vargo Left in Road by Two Bandits. Two hold-up n en obtained $1? and an auto from Mike Vargo, R. R. C, Box 626, late Thursday night at 2234 Speedway Rd. Vargo. said a roadster, he thought a Bulck, drpve up alongside his car and the two occupants ordered him to stop. One of the men, armed, took sl7, Then ordering him out of his auto, the robber got in. The bandits drove west in the two cars, leaving Vargo in the road. Police were unable to learn what was taken by burglars at an Atlantic & Pacific Tea Cos. store, 5416 College Ave., Thursday night. William Boeldt, 1618 Draper St., told police a barrel of cut glass, valued at $l5O, was taken from his dray at Oliver Ave., near White River. LOSS IN HOLD-UP ON TRAIN SIO,OOO Idling Bandits Hunted Near Gary. Bn Vhited Prea GARY, Ind., Feb. 27.—Through the underworld denizens of the bad lands that connect Gary with Chicago, Indiana and Illinois authorities today searched for two train bandits who Thursday sning held up a Chicagobound New York Central train and escaped near this city with cash and jewelry estimated at $10,000., The bandits, according to rtdlroad officials, boarded the train at Toledo, Ohio. Just as the train wua leaving Chesterton, Ind., fourteen miles from Gary, they opened a satchel, drew out a revolver and a sawed-off shotgun and began operations. A dozen passengers on the coach were lined up and stripped of their jewels. Cash was taken from their pockets. The bandits jumped from the train as it slowed up passing through Gary. Drops Dead at West Baden WEST BADEN. Ind., Feb. 27. The body of Judge Tbrmas Graham, of Danville, 111., was to be taken home today for bur'll. Judge Graham dropped dead from heart trouble in a hotel here last night. He was Judge of the circuit court at Danville.

Following police investigation of an auto crash into a telephone pole at Tenth Bt. and Sherman Dr., Thursday night, police arrested Cecil Rlggle, 22, Castleton, Ind., and charged him with speeding, assault and battery, operating a blind tiger, and transporting liquor. Miss Bessie Gray, 17, of 4642 Rookwood Ave. was taken to the detention home and Elzie Gray, 22, Castleton, was charged with contributing to delinquency and vagrancy. Both Miss King and Gray were slightly injured. James Glover, 814 E. Twenty-First St., told police the front tire on his auto blew out as he was driving at Bellefontaine St. His grand child, William Phillips, 2, was in the front seat vith him and fell. Glover said when ae grabbed for the chi and, his car struck an auto driven by Ger&li Decius, 143 Villa Ave.
