HUSBAND FLEES WITH FURNITURE ■ Irate Wife Left in Possession of Apartment, Bv United Press NEW YORK, Feb. 20.—After Mrs. Jesse Margaret Budlong had broken her six-day fast, her husband early today removed all of the furniture* from the twelve-room apartment In which she has been a voluntary prisoner'since last Friday. In place of the furniture was left a note from her husband, Milton Budlong, vice president North Central Texas Oil Company. “Your conduct has made it impossible for me and the children ever again to occupy the apartment. I have decided to remove my furniture, give up the apartment, and become a resident of Newport, R. 1., which is the only place where .1 have a home.” The hunger strike, which Mrs. Budlong began after she lost a suit for separation at Newport was broken Thursday when she drank a glass of milk.
HEAVY EXPENSE SEEN Treasurer Says Tax Notices Would Cost County SIO,OOO. Senator Steele’s bill now pending in the Indiana Senate requiring *ity treasurers to mail notices of unt of taxes due and the time of ming delinquent, would cost Marion County SIO,OOO a year, ao cording to Treasurer John L. Duvall. Twice each year 160,000 notices would have to be sent. Notification of taxpayers in the State would cost SBO,OOO, It was estimated. John J. Brown, member of the State tax Board, said the measure is unnecessary. THIEF HAS LARGE JOB Bathroom Fixtures Taken Away From Vacant House. The plumbing thief returned to action Thursday, police reports showed today. Mrs. C. A. George, 6 8. Robert L. Tucker, trustee in bankruptcy has accepted a $760,000 bid by the bondholders for the mortgaged property and $125,000 for the unmortgaged service and production inventories. Tudor is expected to make an immediate report to Harry Sheridan, referee ir bankruptcy.
