HAZY ABOUT HIS FOUR MARRIAGES Defendant Doesn’t Know What Became of Wives. James Galbreath, 50, of 1121 River Ave., charged with bigamy, today admitted to detectives he had been married four times, was not divorced and does not kno v whether all his wives are living rr dead. “She just wants to get rid of me,” said Galbreath, when he was told wife No. 4, Mrs. Lizzie Plunkett Galbreath, 521 Chase St., caused his arrest. Detectives said Mrs. Galbreath No. 4 declared she had information that No. 3, Mrs. Carrie Brown Galbreath, was living in Greencastle, Ind. This marriage occured in 1914, according to detectives. Galbreath said he had heard No. 3 was dead. Wife No. 1 was Mrs. Susie Irwin Galbreath, whom he married in Danville, Ind., in 1900, Galbreath said. No. 2 was Mrs. Ella Martin. He married her in 1901 and ived with her until her death several years later, he said. The fourth marriage was in 1922, according to the defendant. GIRL 22, FREED ATMURDERTRIAL Unwed Mother Found Not Guilty of Killing Babe, Bv United Preen COUNCIL BLUFFS. lowa, Feb. 6. —Blanche Galvin, 22-year-old unwed mother, was on her way back to her father’s farm near here, Massena, lowa, today. A Jury freed her of a first-degree murder charge, after deliberating only an hour Thursday night. The State had demanded that she be hanged, because, it charged, she had deliberately placed her new-born babe on a lawn where it became ill and died from exposure to the chill October air. The defense contended Miss Galvin, alone when the child was bom. realized she needed help and tried to carry it to a nearby residence. She started back to get a blanket to wrap around the infant, but fainted. Husband Under Arrest John Dilwortb, 32, 3011 Park Ave., 4oday is held on charges of assault find battery, shooting with intent to kill and unlawful possession of firearms, following an alleged attack on W. C. Stephens, 30, of 82 Highland Ave., who he said he found at his home with Mrs. Dilworth. Stephens is held on a charge of contributing to delinquency.

JURORS ILL; PROBE ON Munde Water Is Sent to State Chemist for Analysis. Bv United Preen MUNCIE, Ind., Feb. 6.—An investigation of the restaurant where the members of the jury hearing the murder charge against Cassius Flowers, colored, at Thursday, after which seven jurors became violently ill, was under way today. At the same time it was learned that the city water supply has been found to contain certain impurities and samples of the water were in the hands of the State chemist. The city bealth officer has advised that all water be boiled. The condition of the stricken jurors was reported much improved at their homes today. Flowers was found guilty of manslaughter. He was accused of killing his wife.
