M’PHERSON OUT FOR MOL JOB Candidate Gets Petition From Hogue, The first school board candidate is in the field. Charles L. McPherson, 233 S. Dearborn St., coal dealer, obtained a petition for candidacy from Joseph L. Hogue, city controller, Thursday. Petitions must be signed by 3(K< freeholders, and no person may sign two petitions. McPherson, for four years president of the Woodside Civic Club, is a Republican. All five members of the board will be elected in November. Two will take office Jen. 1, 1926, and three a year later. It is said Charles L. Barry, school commissioner, again will be a candidate. Adolph Emhardt and Dr. Marie Haslep are not expected to seek re-election. Announcement of candidacy of Mrs. Julia Belle Tutewiler, former president of the board, is expected soon. CITY MAY OFFER REWARD Resolution Against “Death Drivers” . Planned in Council. Resolutions favoring a reward for appprehenslon of reckless motorists who kill or injure other persona probably will be adopted by the city council Monday night. Heydon W. Buchanana, councilman, announced several days ago that he would introduce an ordinance establishing a permanent reward fund for this purpose. However, the city legal department held this could not be done. Buchanan then suggested the resolution. Ben H. Thompson, president of the council, said Thursday he would support Buchanan. After Twenty-Six Years By Times Special JASPER, Ind., Jan. 30.—After twenty-six years Bailie Minor, may obtain a judgment for $576, issued against Herbert Sumner, now dead, in favor of her in Dubois Circuit Court for an alleged fraudulent mar riage.
