Looking Over Palace Bill There Is a natural appeal about young men, especially when they wear college sweaters and campus trousers while playing in a jazz orchestra. The new bill at the Palace contains such an organization of ten young men. They have talent and they know how to put “heat” into the jazz tunes of the day. Their program is well arranged. The pi|||yS anist is mighty good. The entire organization is refreshing. They seem to have a good time while speaking of V'W; Brick English and his syncoPa tors at the j. ; :. Two men and two women have mm worked out a! clever idea in LUCIE BRUCH “Road to Vaudeville.” A variety traffic cop directs the talent to the road of vaudeville. The eccentric dance work is pleasing. Lucie Bruch is a violinist who plays the better sort of music on a vaudeville program and gets away with it. She just plays with fine understanding and the audience responds. Fred and Daisy Rial introduce some gymnastic stunts in anew way. Harry Perry and Billy Wagnerd make their hit with an Arkansas rube number. They have the assistance of Violet Manning in a | number at the close of their act. j The movie feature Is Laura La Plante in “Young Ideas.” At the Palace today and Satur- | day.—(By Walter D.
