Manual High Minutes As the Alumni Association, headed by T. B. Dyer, Is planning to finance anew athletic field for the school, the Koines Club has been asked to get names of alumni as contributors, and also to give $5 or more a member. At a meeting at the home of Edwin Eichmann, 1409 Barth Ave., plans also were discussed for new yells and a movement to take parents of all the basketball players to the home games. The Art Council, consisting of Paul McCune, president; Norman Young, vice president; Dorothy Roberts, secretary treasurer; Floyd Smith, Mildred Summers, Leonard Carter, Lucille Draeger, Elmer Foster, Ruth Pritchett, Herschel Lasley, Dorothy Welshaw, Wilna Gates, Alfred Collins, Grace Givens, Pauline West, Bertha Kellermeyer, Frederick Henselmeier, Ben Saxon, Rose Foster, Mary Miller, Louise Sack, James West, Robert Baron, Tony Mascharachia and Harold Luesson, met to discuss plans for the program Feb. 14, “Opening Day.” OM Number Club has decided to keep present officers for the next semester. They are Lawrence Condrey, president; Margaret Black, vice president; Harold Darnell, secretary, and Lena Fortney, treasurer. A round table discussion also was held on the book, “O. Henry Prize Stories of 1923,” followed by a party. The Junior Drama League closed one of its most successful semesters with a fitting program. Misses Perkins and Sanders, club sponsors, gave readings, and Hertha Otte gave a danoe. A party and dance followed, arranged by Emma Lichtsin, assisted by Florence Talk-, ington and Olga Bonke. These twenty-one boys were picked for the military drill Top Ten Monday following inspection: Second hour class: Carlsen, Eaton, Heiny, Smith and Tilford. Third hour: Bernhardt, Herrmann, Jones and Templemeyer. Fourth hour: R. Coller, Lovinger and Wineman. Sixth hour: Burres, Quinlan and House. Eighth hour: Funston and Kyle. Ninth hour: Cleveland, Grannaman and Sponsel. The Latin Club gave a tea, at which the members puzzled themselves playing anagrams, a Latin game. Many interesting pictures also were shown by Mrs. Davis,club sponsor, of her travels In the Latin countries last summer. First tryouts fox the State discussion contest have been postponed to Thursday, Jan. 29. The thirty-six-page Senior Booster, feature publication of each semester, was issued Tuesday. It was dedicated to Mr. Sanders, vice principal of the school for six years, and contained a photograph of each January graduate, group pictures of the leading school organizations and the class history, will, gifts and j prophecy. This was the last publication of j the semester and marked the closing journalistic efforts on the Booster of William Sponsel, Lois Bowsner, Theliha Armfleld, John Billingsley.
