Arrested
Bern Sirro, 20, a tow-headed sailor youth, has been arrested charged with attempted blackmail. He is alleged to have sent letters to Mrs. William K. Vanderbilt 11., and Philip Rhinelander, demanding the payment to a messenger of $60,000 and $20,000 . respectively. After Foxes Again A fox drive will be held near Castleton, northeast of Indianapolis, Saturday, Jan. 17. Six foxes escaped 700 farmers in a drive Thursday.

Found guilty of manslaughter in connection with death' of Mrs. Theresa Mors, “Kid” McCoy, expugilist, was sentenoed Thursday to serve from one to ten jrears in San Quentin penitentiary. Judge Charles S. Crail denied the plea of McCoy’s qounsel for anew trial, but, after passing sentence, permitted the defense to carry the case to the Appellate Court. McCoy stood up on his feet and took the sentence calmly, but there were tears in his eyes as he smiled at the judge qnd sat down. MEETING PLAN ADOPTED Light Association to Hold Sectional Sessions. All sections of the State will be covered by a district meeting plan adopted by the executive board of the Indiana Electric Light Association at the Claypool, Thursday. The central district meeting will be held at Indianapolis in May. The southern district session will be in March and the northern section in May. The annual State convention will be held at French Lick in September.
