C. W. PENSINGER C. W. Penslnger, Twenty-Ninth and Canal, has been re-elected president of Crooked Creek Civic; Club. FATAL SHOOTING PROBED Alleged Booze Party Angle Investigated in Death. Coroner Paul F. Robinson began his inquest today into the death of Carl Blackburn, 24, colored, 1006 W. Vermont St., who it is alleged was shot by Obert Cox, 27, colored, 930 >4 W. Walnut St., at the Cox home Thursday. Blackburn died at city hospital. Police say Cox surrendered, and said the shooting was accidental. Blackburn told police the same before he died, but officers say they learned other stories from! persona who were at the house. Detectives say a liquor party was in progress. Cox is charged with murder.
VICTIM BROUGHT HERE Leon C. Harness, Killed in Plane Crash to be Burled Here. Body of Leon C. Harness, 31, inspector at Wilbur Wright flying field, Dayton, Ohio, who was killed when a truck iii which he was riding was struck by a plane, was brought to Indianapolis today. Funeral services will be held at Central Christian Church at 2 P. M.
