Manual High Minutes The school library, which is a Jtemch of the city library, was openm Thursday after being closed all week due to new equipment being installed. Many new books have been furnished. The Roines Club met at the home of Harold Darnell, 1305 S. Belmont Ave., and discussed plans for arousing enthusiasm to back the basketball team. Paul Rudbeck was admitted to membership. Odd Number Club met in the library. John Moffet, club sponsor, read a short story, “Ainesville,” -written by John Herrmann, a club member. The O. Henry Prize Stories of 1923 was the book chosen to be read by all the members for the -next meeting. A test will be given on it. The club has been divided into two sides, and the one making the poorest average on the test must feed the winners. Motion pictures' opposing the evolution theory were shown the science students in the new auditorium. They were given under direction of the Y. M. C. A. i The Oratorical Club is practising on a miniature representation of the constitutional convention of 1787, to be given before the student body next week in the new auditorium. The French Club will celebrate their annual “Twelfth Night’’ with representation of it at their next Hpeting. A party will follow. Ralph L,. Duggan, a graduate of the June ’O4 class at Manual, has sailed for South America as purchasing agent for the Bethlehem Steel Works. He was a widely known athlete while attending school. William Sponsel, editor, has announced that the January senior number of the Booster will be issued Jan. 20.
