LOW REPAIR BID IS SURPRISE 10 ■TWICERS Contractor Offers to Do Julietta Work for Half of Estimate, Openin of bids on repair of the new men's building at Julietta. County Hospital for the Insane, by county commissioners today was marked by receipt of a bid $14,000 below the other four and the filing of a protest to the state tax board against the $30,000 bond issue on the work. Commissioners scratched their heads over the low bid of $13,794. submitted by A. G. Cimbaoh, farmer and contractor of Cumberland. Estimate Much Higher “Material for the work can’t be bought ■with that sum,” they said. Harry- J. Vahlo submitted the next lowest bid, $37.19",. The State Construction Compr.ny was high with $33,712. John J. Griffith, county engineer, estimates the work will cost nearly $30.00n The county is repairing the new building, built by George A.
