HIGH SCHOOLS IH •STATE TOTAL 1, RANISEYREPORTS Inspector Says Nearly Fifty Per Cent of Students Drop Courses. There are SOS recognized high schools in Indiana, according to statistics released today by E. E. Ramsey, State high school inspector. Os this numlv r, 700 are commission, i and 10S are accredited. Practically 47 per cent of the Hoosier high schools have an enrollment lof between fifty and one hundred j students while almost 70 per cent are j schools of less than one hundred j pupils. I Ramsey’s report shows there are j 159 commissioned high schools havj ing an enrollment less than fifty; j 329 have between fifty and one hum , dred students; 124 schools range between one and two hundred pupils; ! fifty-two between two ami live hun- | dred students; and twenty-six with lan enrollment of more than five hundred. The medium for the State is 75.7 pupils. There are 513 township, 104 cily and 83 town high schools. One hundred and sixty-six schools received State aid last year. Total of I 8571.673.06 was distributed throughout the State. Wallace, State entomologist, announced today. Speakers Include E. R. Root of Medina, Ohio, nationally recognized bee expert, who will talk on “The Package Bee Business,” "Some New Opportunities in the Southland” and "Some New Developments in Bee Behavior.” Harry F. Dietz, assistant State entomologist, will talk on "The Hole of the Honey Bee In the Pollination of Plants."
