STATE HIGHWAY ! CONDITIONS GOOD FOR WINTER USE Director Williams Says Dr\ Weather and Summer Work Are Factors, Belief that stone anl gravel roads in the State highway system will not be cut appreciably during winter freezes and spring thaws, was expressed by John D. Williams, director, in the commission's traffic bulletin today. This is due, Williams explained, to the great volume of work done last summer in spreading material, and to the fact that roads go into the winter perfectly dry. No. 1 i New Albany. SOW CENSURES TROTSKY’S BOOR Campaign Started to Oust | Mirthless Leader, lilt Times Special MOSCOW, Nov. 21. —Leon Trotsky, the solemn, mirthless student of human nature who built an army j for Russia such as no czar ever succeeded in creating?, may be read out of the Balshevik party because he is too individualistic to subordinate his personality in accordance with the title theory of Marxian socialism. A campaign against Trotsky, originating among active party workers in Moscow, has spread and the dimensions of the movement now are such that the man who, with Lenin, was synonymous with Bolshevism, may be subjected to drastic disciplinary action. Feeling against Trotsky hits' tn do with his recent book. "The Year 1917.” third volume of the “History of the Bolshevik Revolution. ” Active Bolshevists in Moscow condemned the book, branding it as a gross distortion of Bolshevism. Indignation was expressed at Trotsky's j version of Lenin's relations with the i Communist party.
