‘suicide; says PASTOR HUSBAND (Continued From Page 1) children have furnished acceptable alibis. Nothing New Detectives spent the night in Bexley, an exclusive residential and university district, looking for clews, but reported to police today that they had turned up nothing new. They interviewed professors and students of Capital University and neighbots of the Sheatsley family in an effort to learn if any strangers had been lurking about in that vicinity and found every one completely baffled. King spent part of the nighs at the night at she parsonage, where he learned that Clarence, the pastor's 16-year old son, was first to discover his mother's body in she furnace, but that he said nothing about it previously, preferring that his father make the matter known to the police. The pastor came home from mak ing several pastoral calls at 4:30 p. m., and noticing the odor of burning flesh, went to the furnace, where he found his wife's charred bones sizzling on a lied of coals. Search for Acid King also conducted a search for a bottle of carbolic arid, which Clarence reported missing from a rnedi- < ;ne cabinet in th* parsonage Wlcn the missing bottle was not found. Coroner Joseph Murphy, who still maintains that he has not completely given up the belief that Mrs. Sheatsley may have killed herself, took several of the charred bones to the State chemist for analysis. Seldom in she history of American crime have rhe authorities faced such fi complete mystery as that of Mrs. Sheatsley's death. It Is devoid of the usual elements of crime cases.
