COUNTIES LIVING HIGH Figures Show Expenditures Have Increased §900,000. The ninety-two Indiana counties "lived beyond their incomes" during 1923, according to sgures just compiled by Charles Kettleborougb, di-re,-tor of the legislative reference bureau. While expenditures increased $900,000 over 1922, revenue from taxes and other sources decreased by the same amount, figures show. Forty-three per cent of county disbursements went for construction and repair of county highways and bridges: 7.2 per cent for construction and repair of county buildings; 13 per cent for care of dependents; 6.2 per cent for collection of taxes, and only .4 for public health. Votes Cost 18 Cents Each Cost of the presidential election in .Marion County was about $30,000, tho amount appropriated by tiy? •■canty council. County Auditor Harry Dunn expects to begin payment of election boards and officials this week. The election here cost more than 18 cents a vote.
Supt. Gannon Feels Fine —Is Enthusiastic Says Language Cannot Express Good Done
“I have been a sufferer from stomach trouble for years. I have not yet used up tho first bottle of Adlerika as I only take it mornings, but have already begun (o enjoy good health. Language cannot express the good Adlerika has done and is doing me.” (Signed) J. T. (bunion. Superintendent Potomaa Gas and Oil Company. Intestinal Evaeuant There is now offered to the public a liquid preparation which is not only a wondertuily effective and QUICK Intestinal evaeuant, but which also seems to stimulate the glands of the intestinal traet and to cause expulsion of flatus (UAS>. This preparation, known as Adlerika, is a valuable agent for the purpose of cleansing the bowels of matter which has been in the system a long time and which other less effective means have been unable to dislodge. It is often astonishing the great amount of matter Adlerika draws from the intestinal canal—even right after a natural movement it sometimes brings out unsuspected quantities of additional matter. Milny times it brings out much GAS, thus relieving pressure in the abdomen. Adlerika is especially valuable when PROMPT action is necessary or to encourage the elimination of metabolic poisons through the bowel.
