OFFIOIALS-ELECT MEET 10 MAP OUT FUTURE PROGRAMS Jackson Confers With Walb and Others on New Policies, Administrative policy and legislative program was to be discussed at a conference between Governorelect Ed Jackson and State Chairman Clyde A. Walb, and other State offieials-eleet at 2 p. m. today at Republican headquarters at the Severin. .Jackson said he had had no time to give administrative policy serious thought and to date had decided on no legSlative program. It is understood however, .strengthening of the Absent Voters law to prevent fraud, a uniform State trai'fie law and very likely the primar” law will come up before the Legislature as administrative measures. Dye Is Honored Willis Dye, Kokomo, chairman of the Ways and Means committee of the Republican State committee and a presidential elector will represent Indiana at the meeting of the electoral college in Washington, it was announced. Lewis Bowman, Richmond. State audtior-elect. conferred with Walb and announced appointment of Archie Bobbitt, English, county auditor of Crawford County, as gasoline tax collector. Bobbitt was recommended by M. Burt Thurman, internal revenue collector. Bowman also announce! appointment of Lewis Johnson, chief clerk in highway commission, as his chief deputy, and Charles Schultz, Newcastle, as settlement clerk. Walb has installed a temporary office at 1001 Severin. He received a personal letter of thanks for congratulations from President Coolidge. Walb declared as far as he was concerned the fewer bills introduced. the letter. “We had better clarify a few of our laws and then go home and obey them." he said.

Dairy cow population in Marion j county Is Increasing, according to' figures of the Blue Valley Creamery Institute, which shows a 5.9 per cent gain for the Central Indiana district.
