‘SLEEP IN OPEN • AIR; IS ADVICE Indiana Tuberculosis Association Gives Reason. Indiana Tuberculosis Association has issued a bulletin urging city dwellers to sleep as much as possible in the open. Xight air is just as healthful as day air and is more purifying, for It is less laden with dust and humidity, the bulletin pointed out. Cold air, moreover, according to recent experiments, has been found to be more healthful than warm. The bed should be protected from cold currents that sweep under the mattress. Sheets may be eliminated and light blankets substituted. Weight of too heavy blankets fatigues the body, so covers should lie of wool. Where the bed is exposed a cover should be hung as a protection in snowy and rainy weather. A hood with shoulder caps helps to keep 'the head and shouldeats. warm. Wool bed socks may be worn.
