Advance was irregular, | with heavy porkers scoring most at i $10.505110.55. Bulk of sales was 25c higher than Wednesday’s at $9.5048 j 10.25. Pigs and sows were about steady. Mediums, averaging 225 to 250 pounds, brought $16,255; 10.i, 11 : and were 25c high,-' Light hogs, sold generally at $9 505/ 10. while light lights, weighing 150 to 160 pounds, were quoted at $8.754/ 9.50 j and were about steady. After the j majority of hogs had been sold and ' shippers had tilled their orders, ladding was reported lower and stea-'.y , with Wednesday’s close. Receipts : were 10.000. Holdover was 155. liberal receipts of cattle tended to slow the market and indications were for dull trade during the day. While r.o actual price drops appeared, bids came slow, especially on medium to lower grades. Good, choice stock was fully steady and met fairly active demand. Gunners, cutters and bulls were steady on normal demand. Continued scarcity of choice kinds served to widen the outlet for lew grades, but prices lid not respond. Fairly good 1,200-pound steers were quoted in carlo's at *94j 9.25, and this grade was most iti evidence in the receipts of 1,000. Veal trade was active with many choice veals selling at sl2. Mediums were quoted nt $8 alo and common jalves brought .*4 to $7. Prices showed little change, but the market . had a good undertone. Receipts 800.
