Once each year all Indianapolis unites in one magnificent gift to charity —the Community Fund. This year it will be $700,000.00 —a substantial sum, yet scarcely great enough for the needs of the community —to care for the .unfortunates, to advance the health, the economic welfare and the good citizenship of this best of American cities. A great sum, certainly, yet only a small gift from each. The Community Fund asks just half as much per capita of population as some cities must raise for the same purpose. Let us unite in one magnificent effort and be done with the job for another year.
