Realizing Sales Send Wheat Prices Down, B?/ Vnited Press CHICAGO. Oct. 19. —Grain futures finished irregular on the Board of Trade Saturday. Week-end realizing due to inactivity on the part of foreigners and sharp break in Winnipeg caused a lower wheat finish. Grain applied for by exports today was for deferred shipment. Sentiment in corn was mixed. A number of inquiries at the seaboard created some buying interest find values sold up a fraction at the close. Ideal growing conditions and generally improved crops, however, caused most traders to hold off. Oats, dull and neglected, were under influence of wheat and sold off. The range was narrow. Provisions had a strong finish on foreign lord buying. Chicago Grain Table —Oct. 18 WHEAT— 1 Prov. Open. High. Lot. Close. dose. CABLE OUT - FOR MAYOR (Continued From Page 1) do in my campaign nrtfi in event of my election. Also. 1 have no desire or hope to straddle or evade any Issue, present, past or future. “The principles of the Republican party, as they were defined to me by my father, who was the only Republican in the township where I was born, always have been dear to me. Cherishing the love of Republican principles Lcannot help deploring that the party has, as the church of today, been called upon to resißt the persistent efforts of the selfish few to prostitute It. Efficiency I'lcdged “It Is my belief that there should be no politics in municipal government, but that the affairs of a city such as Indianapolis should be conducted by men selected for their ability and retained because of their efficiency. “I pledge to the people of Indian.apolis, that as mayor, I will surround myself only with efficient men, selected without regard to party, creed or color: that I will give allglance to no political machine or organization with a selfish purpose, hut will seek counsel only with those who demonstrate that they have at heart the welfare of the municipality. "There is no creed by Christ, no law but love dominating the true Christixn, and in aspiring to the office of mayor, I shall be guided only by a desire to keep our citizens from each others’ throats, to pluck thistles and plant flowers in the garden of harmony where we all should dwell. No Donations “I have spent my fortune to make it easier to do right and harder to do wrong in Indianapolis. I want to give my best efforts to a continuation of that purpose. “In my campaign. I will accept no donation from any firm or parson and I will spend no money In an effort to buy the voters of the city. A public office cannot be purchased without upsetting the choice of the people and I will not attempt to buy my'''way Into a false preferment. “I believe the people of Indiana know the type of man necessary to an honest administration of their affairs. I hope to convince them that I am of that type.” 39 IJfi.M, NOTICES NOTICE or APPOINTMENT Notice is hereby given that the under-trlgm-d ha* duly qualified a* .ulmn.ntratrtx of e*tat' of Harry 1).
