"Capital has combined for its betterment and profit. Labor has combined for its advancement in wages and working conditions. Agriculture has been left behind.” He advocated passage of r. farmers cooperative marketing law and reappraisal of real estate as things to bring relief to the farmer. He further advocated decentralization of the State administration and giving back to counties and towns control of their own affairs. He ridiculed claim of Jackson that tax rate had been reduced aimply because,the tax is lower than it was at one time during the Ralston administration. He said property valuations had been so enormously increased that the net result was that taxes are higher than they have ever been. DANIELS FILES BANKRUPT SUIT Cordage Company President Lists Liabilities. Petition asking La Monte Daniels, president Indianapolis Cordage Company, 1359 S. Meridian St., be adjudged a bankrupt is on file in Federal Court as result of action taken by Daniels, Thursday. Daniels liabilities were listed at $306,504.80 and assets, $676.17. Yucatan Company, from which the Cordage Company purchased supplies, holds notes totaling $229.904.80, the petition stated. Company's property was recently ordered sold by the Marion County Superior Court to satisfy a mortgage of $268,550, according to the petition. Among assets listed were an equity of $12,000 in a residence at 4410 X. Meridian St., insurance and personal property. Daniels had pledged $1,600 to social welfare projects.
