Police say his ar.to struck Helen Monroe, 5, of 338 Douglass St.. !n front of 759 Indiana Ave., Wednesday. She was injured about the back of head and face. Police took her home. Maurice Waldon, 14, of 216 X. Summit St., was injured about the shoulder, police say, when the bicycle he was riding was struck by an auto truck driven by George Smith, 24, colored, 855 Pratt St., who was charged with assault and battery, improper driving and of the muffler ordinance. To Coll Street. More particularly described as follows: Beginning at Sanitary Sewer in SixtyFirst Street at intersection of Cornell Avenue; thence north in Cornell Avenue to a point 2<i feet north of the south property line of Coll Street. Said sewer shall consist of 12-inch Y'itrified Pipe. And said sewer, with all its oppurtenances shall be constructed in accordance with the profile and specifications now on file in the office of the Department of Public YVorks of said city. The cost of said improvement shall be apportioned against and paid b.v the property holders whoso property abuts thereon, and upon the city of Indianapolis. If the city is benefited by said improvement, all according to the method and manner provided for in an Act of the General Assembly of the State of Indiana, entitled "An Act Concerning Municipal Corporations." approved March 6. 1905. Assessments, if deferred, are to be paid in ten equal annual installments. with interest at the rate of 5 per cent per annum. A bond or bonds shall be issued to th“ contractor in payment for such work, unless the property owners pay said assessments before said bond or bonds are issued.
